This course is designed to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge required to effectively coordinate community-based projects across various development sectors. The course covers project planning, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, activity implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting. 

This course equips learners with foundational and practical knowledge on gender concepts, dynamics, and their implications for sustainable development. This course emphasises gender mainstreaming, equality, and equity in social, political, and economic spheres. Learners will explore key gender theories, gender-based analysis tools, and national and international frameworks such as the Kenyan Constitution (2010), Vision 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the National Gender and Development Policy. The course also trains learners to promote inclusive practices and policies in communities, institutions, and workplaces, preparing them to take active roles as gender advocates, community development officers, or gender focal persons in public, private, and non-profit sectors.

This course equips learners with the competencies required to mobilize, organize, and manage community-based groups for sustainable development. The course covers group formation, registration, leadership development, conflict resolution, resource mobilization, financial management, and monitoring of group activities. 

This course describes the competencies required to identify community socioeconomic issues, identify target groups, carry out problem analysis, in partnership with stakeholder’s support implementation of lobbying activities, document the lobbying and advocacy activities.

This course prepares learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to effectively manage client cases within community development, social work, and human services settings. This course focuses on the end-to-end case management process including client identification, intake and assessment, case planning, implementation, monitoring, referral, documentation, and case closure. Emphasis is placed on ethical practice, client confidentiality, inter-agency collaboration, and the application of national legal and policy frameworks such as the Children Act, Persons with Disabilities Act, and the Sexual Offences Act.
